We all come to yoga looking for something, whether we know it or not. For Anna, it was physical relief from the impacts of a stressful corporate job and desk-bound lifestyle on her body. As the neck and back pains slowly started to ebb away, the mental benefits of a regular yoga practice began to manifest.
A sensitive soul, she found yoga could help her achieve a calmer state, life's stresses seemed a little less daunting after class, and greater physical strength brought with it greater emotional resolve.
Almost a decade after first stepping onto the mat, Anna began her teacher training journey. Alessandra Pecorella of the Aditya Yoga School facilitated a path of liberation, where wisdom was shared, tears were shed and friends were made for life. She completed her 200 hours vinyasa flow teacher training under Alessandra's careful guidance, and she remains one of her greatest and most revered sources of inspiration and knowledge. She was also privileged to work alongside Alessandra, mentoring the 2015 intake of Aditya yoga teachers in training through to their final exams.
Always the student first, Anna continues to learn from her teachers and gurus and is privileged to impart this ancient wisdom to her students. More recently she has studied under Erin Prichard and Becky Farbstein, completing the EVOLUTION Advanced Teacher Training programme, while developing her vocal skills through ongoing practice with one of the world’s top Kirtan leaders, Nikki Slade.
Always the student first, Anna continues to learn from the gifts shared by her wonderful teachers and is privileged to impart this ancient wisdom to her students.
Her classes combine her love of dynamic asanas with mantras, mudras and Sanskrit verse to create a focused and meditative atmosphere. Mind, body and breath come together to work towards a state of union: yoga.
